Adjusting The Clamp To Suit
Tyre Width.
An adjustment to the two swing arms and the main arm
for tyre width should be carried out first. The range
of adjustment normally covers tyres from 155 to 225
width. However, rather than take specific measurements
across the tyre, most users find it easier to experiment
with different adjustments to arrive at the most favourable
setting. Ensure width adjustments do not damage wheel
trim, but do not give excessive play.
Insert and line up the extension pieces on holes
that look likely to give the correct width and secure
with the screw. When the correct adjustment has been
established tighten the screws with the hexagonal
spanner (Allen Key) supplied.
As a further security measure, you may plug the socket
recesses of the screw with the fisherman's shot provided.
