Up Caravan and Trailer Security
Keep-It, established manufacturers of security products
for caravans, motor homes and other trailer types, have
responded to changes in chassis and hitch types with a new
concept hitch lock. At the same time, in response to the
market place being swamped with low quality, economy priced
wheel clamps, Keep-it have also introduced a revamped wheel
clamp.
Keep-It’s Crusader Hitch Lock has been developed primarily
to provide excellent protection for caravans and trailers
fitted with the Al-Ko AKS 2004 and the more recent AKS 3004
hitch with integral stabiliser. At the same time it fits
the more common AK 160 and AK 10/2 hitches.
The unit is fully case hardened to prevent cutting and drilling;
this is supported with a 10 pin radial lock, especially
developed for Keep-it. It is finished in Keep-It yellow,
to highlight deterrence. It also encompasses protection
for ball cavity, hitch handle and fixings and, offers good
weather protection.
To address the growing problem of units being stolen when
attached to the tow vehicle in a car park etc., then the
Keep-It Crusader can be fitted without the lower plate.
This same attachment process can also be applied when the
unit is attached to a security post.
As with all Keep-It security products, the unit is designed
with ease of fit in mind and with a recommended retail price
of £59.99, looks to offer excellent value.
Keep-It’s Kestrel wheel clamp takes all the tried
and tested features of previous Keep-It clamps, but now
encompasses forging technology of Keep-It’s parent
company. Consequently the Keep-It Kestrel combines strength
with excellent value for money, as the forging process reduces
manufacturing input and so lowers production costs, which
Keep-It are passing on to the customer.
This means that the customer is able to buy a British made
product for less than £60.00!
As with all Keep-It products, the finish is bright to give
visual deterrence; it once again follows in the Keep-It
tradition of being one of the lightest and easiest units
to fit.
Three variations are available for tyre widths of 165, 175
and 185. All models fit 13”–15” wheels.
